Vendor Rules & Regulations

  1. Location

Located in the centre retail unit at 159 Ross St., St.Thomas, Ontario, at the North Corner of Erie and Ross Streets. 

  1. Seed Confections Pop-Up Shop

This retail Pop-UP Space is intended to support growth of established small businesses, start-ups, those in the ideation phase of start up by providing space to retail in a short term/test environment. 

  1. Set-up

  1. The space is set up with basic displays and check-out counter however, the structure and interior cannot be altered in anyway.  If additional displays are required, these displays must be provided by the vendor. Set up and clean up times must be accommodated within the occupancy.

  2. Vendors may set and keep their own hours.

  3. Vendors are responsible for promoting their store.

  4. Vendors will be provided access via an electronic key code the evening before their set-up day which will be changed the morning after their clean-up day.

  5. Vendors may park on either side of Ross Street .  

  1. Time Allocation

Vendors can request  a minimum of two days, however, a three day period is recommended. Day 1 for set-up & sales, day 2 for sales, day 3 for sales and clean-up. The Vendor will have exclusive use of the space including the washroom for the duration of the pop-up.

  1. Vendor Policies and Procedures

  1. Vendors are permitted to use one sandwich board signage in front of the building. Vendor must provide board.

  2. Vendors are not permitted to use nails/screws/tape or other materials that will potentially damage the walls.

  3. Vendors must place their own refuse in a suitable container and are responsible for their own garbage removal.

  4. No food can be prepared on site and any one selling food or sampling food must comply with Southwestern Public Health regulations.

  5. Personal services like aesthetic services may not be offered in the space.

  6. Inquiries regarding health regulations are the responsibility of each vendor and may be obtained from Southwestern Public Health at 519.631.9900.

  7. The unit must be left clean and tidy.

  8. Vendors requiring refrigeration must bring their own storage coolers. There are electrical outlets for electric coolers. 


  1. Insurance

Proof of Insurance may be requested to proceed with use of the space. Ensure you contact your insurance company to confirm that you have the proper insurance for your belongings/products for this type of short term rental.  

  1. Building Access

Vendors will be provided access via an electronic key code before their set-up day which will be changed the morning after their clean-up day. 

  1. Compliance

  1. All vendors agree to comply with the rules and regulations as set out in this document and in accordance with the pop-up rental agreement.

  2. Understanding and compliance is acknowledged by the vendor by means of their signature on the vendor application. All vendors shall complete an application package for each contract in the Seed Confections Pop-Up space.

  3. Compliance with both provincial and federal sales tax regulations is the responsibility of the individual vendor.

  4. Vendors shall comply with all federal, provincial, and municipal regulations regarding the sale of their merchandise. 

  5. Vendors who violate any of the rules and regulations shall receive a verbal reminder of said violation. A second offence will result in the vendors exclusion from future rentals.
